Camping Uk

Hi me and my partner are wanting to go on a camping holiday in our tent for a week in August, i have mentioned the south of france or brittany but not sure how far it is to drive from calais, we will look at stayin in the uk aswell but i cant seem to find any that are close to the beech with a variaty of stuff to do as we are young and like to keep active and a outside pool would be nice to incase the weather is great like it has been! Any ideas guys?

Do you need a different plug at the end for instance?

We are looking for suggestions for tent camping sites, we will also be taking our dog. Maybe a camping site with fishing would be nice. We dont want to travel more than 2 hours if neccesary (from Berkshire).

Does anyone have any suggestions, it is always nice to have some personal recommendations. We thought of Devon/Cornwall, but we have never been there before..
